Gods have always played a large part in my writing, whether it is fantasy or less fantastical writing. Even my creative non-fiction writing makes references to the various gods and goddesses of the pantheons I created over the past decade or so. Keeping in line with my writing style, some of these gods and entire pantheons get recycled and retooled depending on the various works they appear in. This article is separated into pantheons and then loose-leaf deities.

Short Story
Anyhow, here's a short story that almost everyone who doesn't read short stories for a living loves. It's Urban Fantasy with Cyberpunk elements and takes place in an alternative history of Earth. If anyone is familiar with the pen and paper Role Playing Game Shadowrun, you'll find that it's not directly inspired by the game but still find it hauntingly familiar.
Poetry Kick
I rise from my grave. So recently I've been on a bit of a poetry kick and stopped altogether and I wanted to use this little preamble to talk about it. The Song of the Storm King was originally intended to be written as an epic poem, inspired by The Song of Roland. I even referenced it with the "AOI" in … Continue reading Poetry Kick
The Red Death
I'm writing it, people are reading it, so here is some more of the Song of the Storm King. The chronology of the Song of the Storm King is ambiguous and confusing on purpose but this part takes place before Lightning.
Lightning
Garrett leaned against the counter of some shady shop, drumming his fingers against the surface. It was a cramped shop, stuffed to the gills with assorted curios and definitely not fake merchandise. It was as if someone had let that one miscellaneous drawer in their kitchen take over their house, with all the organization that comes with it. Garrett could hardly breath without bumping into something.
The Song of the Storm King: Night Watch
A short story I started a few hours before going to work and finished later. More SotSK stuff because why not? The first mention of the Storm King is here and the second mention of the Storm King is here. A poem featuring Garrett the Fox can be found here. Characters are as follows: Lyrica Lyra/Lyrica … Continue reading The Song of the Storm King: Night Watch
Vignette: Fanny Pack of Power
This is a little vignette I wrote a while back for a larger work I had since shelved. Part of my writing process includes writing a series of vignettes and later tiling them together as part of world building and character development. It features two characters I thought up: Roark Cainhurst, Proctor First Class (think … Continue reading Vignette: Fanny Pack of Power
The Song of the Storm King
A little pet project of mine that I had no intention of sharing with anybody, aside from friends and family. It's a low fantasy story meant to be an epic, a sprawling continuation of events surrounding Garrett the Fox as he struggles to accept the mantle of the Storm King, coming to terms with his depression … Continue reading The Song of the Storm King
Poem: The Fox and The Red Death
Another poem that struck me. The Fox and the Red Death Carrion for the crows, a battle done darkly Boys longing to be men were cut down sharply The Fox with his red pelt, thunder in hand, is a wandering curse, a Pyrrhic victory roaming the land The Great Wolf bays at crows who prey … Continue reading Poem: The Fox and The Red Death
Writing Prompt: Bronze Age Fantasy
I'm trying my hand at this whole writing prompt thing. As in, I'm writing a prompt for other writers. The idea behind this prompt comes from a similar prompt I read when I was in elementary school: a large chunk of the story is given, you must write the ending. While this chunk is rather … Continue reading Writing Prompt: Bronze Age Fantasy
